First Day Fishing

Our morning commenced with a trip to Dicks Sporting Goods in Concord. Will’s mom has some coupons, so he purchased a nice new bait caster for a great price. He was is very pumped to try it out.

After running into the Special Olympics group, we had a great lunch at the Ninety Nine in Concord as they had a local seafood special menu (fitting for our project). We drove back to proctor and on the way will noted many spots we could hit. We got back, organized all of our fishing stuff for a while, and then realized that it was a perfect evening to try out our new rods. We set out for Cold Brook in Boscawen, a small and shallow body of water. Although we did not catch any fish, Will taught me how to cast with a bait caster and we got quite a few good casts into the brook.

The Journey Begins

On April 29th, Will Kingston and myself set off from Proctor to West Lebanon. It was a cold and dreary morning. Our first stop was Walmart.

There we picked up fishing licenses and some other small pieces of fishing gear that stuck out.

After a bite at Five Guys, we went to The Tackle Shack in Newbury. There I picked up a new bait caster which will be really fun because I’ve never used one before. The Tackle Shack was a good place to find because it has a ton of stuff and is only 20 minutes away. Then we returned to proctor for dinner and discussed future fishing prospects in Carr house.
